Mister Floyd Part V

Mister Floyd Part 5 is here. This one is "Colour (Part3)" It is by far my favorite (forget what I said before) and, though i know it is a bit premature, this IS my masterpiece (to date). It might be obvious from the fact that it is significantly longer than the others. I had too much fun with this one; couldn't let it end.

Murray: The Lummox. Murray is a man who is prone to mess up. EVERYTHING. Murray breaks stuff, gets lost, underperforms on the job, but somehow he always manages to accidentally benefit himself...but Murray doesn't see that. So he decides to do something about it to change his ways.

Rodney is a man who is addicted to being argumentative, confrontational and an overall asshole in every situation. This is the only way he can get pleasure out of life...but after he learns that he no longer has the ability to insight anger from others, he is left with the task of adjusting his behavior.

MoonLight

Another song...this is probably my favorite to date. It has a lot more to it than the others. The drums were fun to record...except for the fact that I forgot to turn the metronome off before exporting the file. Oh well...

Equinox: Part Two

This is the second Equinox entry. Meet "Jimmy: The Degenerate". Jimmy is a man who has a terrible addiction. An addiction that is going to change his life forever. Jimmy will learn that the results of his addiction have a severe affect on those close to him and is forced to live with the consequences of hurting his loved ones.

Equinox: Part One

Equinox is another project I am working on...I won't get into too much detail because I need to protect my sh*t, but it will be great once it is complete. But I will use this website as a showcase of all of the important characters. Here is The first installment, "Karl: The Shepherd".

If I want stories about relationships and how well people are getting along, I will watch Lifetime or Oprah.

Isaac

This is another song...It is not part of Mr. Floyd, but it is one of the first ones i made. The name is "Isaac", The name doesn't really have any meaning other than the fact that I think Love Boat was on TV when I made it.

Broke

I wrote this poem as an assignment in a creative writing class in college...I never really liked poetry because everybody always wrote sad peoms about emotions and dark feelings...ZZZZZ. So this was my attempt at giving the people what they want. The picture below was found on a poetry website and is titled..."Blah blah blah, something something Sadness". I think that helps prove my point.

This is a song I made as part of an instrumental music experiment I am working on. Everything is sampled from the same source...I think the name gives it away. This is the first song that I finished so the title is "One". Wow! What a great title...sometimes I amaze myself!!!

I am not a musician yet, but I have a self-proclaimed "Good Ear For Music" so i decided to teach myself how to make electronic music. NOT Rap Beats...and NOT over-the-top weird music with a random vocals...just good clean electronic instrumental music.

Random Album Review

Drake - So Far Gone


I have been hearing a lot of hype about this dude Drake. Not sure where he came from but he is apparently affiliated with Lil Wayne and he's Canadian (???) After 1 listen to the album I can honestly say that I can definitely respect dude for being "Different" and the album is very smooth and teeters between hip hop/R&B and it's a little jazzy. But ummm...he's simply just way way too soft for my taste.

There's a lot of whining, deep breaths and robot voice shit. He also loses points for featuring Omarion and Lloyd...WTF? That is unacceptable behavior and poor judgement for a rap album. I need my rap to be a little tougher than this. I need to be convinced that the dude rapping to me on the track can whip my ass...and if he can't, I at least need to know that one of his homeboys could jab me in the jaw and leave a mark. I have strayed from this rule before but Mr. Drake is just not good enough to get the pass that dude's like Kanye West, Common, Q-Tip, and Lupe Fiasco get.

It's worth a listen though.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhh...

All of a sudden skulls have become more mainstream now. Before they were cool because they were associated with bad asses and rebels. Now you see random effeminate teenage boys with skulls all over their clothes bags, scarfs and sh*t like that. WTF is cool about red skull shoelaces????

I have decided that I am going to teach myself how to play the piano. The first stage: buying an electric keyboard, has been completed. That is as far as I have gotten at this point. The Piano is the most beautiful sounding instrument if it is played right. I think most of what I will play (once i learn how) will be on the left side here all of the deep and dark notes are. I prefer the darker smoother sound. Very powerful and moving...
